Nation Ramps recently had the pleasure of working with Amphenol Aerospace to design and create a custom ramp solution. The Nation Ramps Team met with the people at Amphenol Aerospace to go over all product details and shipping needs.
Details:
Amphenol Aerospace came to Nation Ramps with the issue of having to fully open their bay door for frequent small package deliveries. While not always a problem, during the winter months in New York the drop in temperature could make having the door open for even a short time thermally inefficient, not to mention quite unpleasant. They decided a cut out door in the main dock roll up, coupled with a 20ft Nation Ramps Ground to Dock Ramp, built to custom height, was the perfect solution. Now, instead of ground level deliveries, all package trucks use the T-Lane ramp to back directly up to the new delivery access in the heart of their shipping receiving center. The new access greatly reduces weather exposure, while the new custom docking level means packages are passed through at an ideal height for their conveyer system, reducing back strain and potential for injury.
