Nation Ramps had the recent opportunity to work with Commercial Interior Construction (CIC), from Kingsville, MD. They came to us with the need for creating ground to dock access for one of their clients. Their client required vehicle access to an older building and the solution needed to be timely. They did not wish to pull permits or have a permanent ramp; this is where Nation Ramps was able to supply our proven ramp solution and reputable service.

CIC’s client runs a carpet and flooring business in Linthicum Heights, Maryland and contracted CIC to complete an interior renovation on their brick structure. CIC’s main job was to improve the overall interior and increase efficiency of their existing premises. Nation Ramps’ Ground to Dock (GTD) ramp was chosen by CIC to transform the existing grade level dock to allow for loaded diesel truck access. They required a custom solution to fit with the lower 42” dock height and a ramp that was 10’ wide. CIC required delivery within two weeks to meet their committed completion date.

The ideal solution for Commercial Interior Construction’s client was a custom Nation Ramps Ground to Dock GTD18K-27X120-S. This was a modified version of our proven, narrower, standard model, modified to fit the needs of CIC’s client. The ramp was engineered to fit the width of their dock door opening, with enough capacity to handle the daily use by loaded diesel delivery trucks. Nation Ramps was able to complete the construction in our Winnipeg, Manitoba manufacturing plant and have the ramp delivered to Lithicum, MD within two weeks. Due to the design of the building, a local crane service was hired to off-load the tractor-trailer and place the GTD unit. The Nation Ramps custom ramp solution was installed and in daily use one day earlier than required.
